I've always wanted to learn quadratic equations involving absolute value, it seems like there's a lot that can be done with it that I can't do otherwise. I've browsed the internet for some useful learning tools , and checked the local library for some books, but all the data seems to be targeted at people who already know the subject. Is there any resource that can help new students as well?

I have a good suggestion that could help you with algebra. You simply need a good program to explain the problems that are complicated. You don't need a private teacher, because on one hand it's very expensive , and on the other hand you won't have it near you whenever you need help. A software is better because you only have to buy it once, and it's yours forever . I recommend you to try Algebrator, because it's the best. Since it can resolve almost any algebra exercises, you will certainly use it for a very long time, just like I did. I purchased it years ago when I was in Remedial Algebra, but I still use it sometimes .

Algebrator is a splendid software. All I had to do with my difficulties with factoring expressions, subtracting fractions and converting fractions was to simply type in the problems; click the ‘solve’ and presto, the answer just popped out step-by-step in an easy manner. I have used this to problems in Pre Algebra, Basic Math and Algebra 2. I would confidently say that this is just the answer for you.

I just hope this tool isn’t very complicated. I am not so good with the technical stuff. Can I get the product details , so I know what it has to offer?

Yes I’m sure. This is tried and tested. Here: https://mathisradical.com/multiplying-and-dividing-fractions-1.html. Try to make use of it. You’ll be improving your solving abilities way faster than just by reading tutorials.
